Leveling a Horde Warlock

World of Warcraft is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game, and if you have ever wanted to adventure in a fantasy world while interacting real time with hundreds of other players, this is your best bet! Often abbreviated to WoW, this game has something to offer hardcore raiders and casual players alike and you'll find that one thing that you need to learn about is going to be how to level. Leveling is the process where your character gets more powerful and picks up more abilities and talents, and there is a lot to learn between level 1, where you start, and the current endgame at level 80.

When you first get started with WoW, you need to choose a faction. The factions include the Horde and the Alliance, and if you choose the play the Horde, you will find that there are several races that will allow you to play the Warlock class. Warlocks are masters of dark and demonic magic and they are an excellent class that has many interesting advantages. On the Horde, the Undead, the Orcs, and the Blood Elves can play Warlocks and this can be a great reason to explore any of these three races.

As with every other class in World of Warcraft, you will find you need to start at level 1. With every quest that you turn in and every creature that you kill, you will get more experience that allows you to "level up." Your level determines what you can do and how powerful you are, and if you are leveling a Warlock, there are a few things that you can keep in mind.

For instance, if you are playing a Warlock, you will have access to several demonic pets. You begin with the Imp, which does a fair amount of damage, but if you want to level quickly, you will likely find that the Voidwalker is going to be your best bet. A Voidwalker can essentially distract your enemy while you kill it and you can take on enemies that are fairly difficult because of this.

Another thing to keep in mind when you are interested in leveling a Horde warlock is that you are going to need to think about keeping your damage over time spells up. Unlike other classes, Warlocks do not kill their enemies quickly. Two of the best spells include Corruption and Curse of Agony, both of which do a large amount of damage but which take some time to do it. These spells should always be on the enemy that you are fighting.

Finally, remember that a Warlock is a cloth wearing class and as such is fairly fragile. If at all possible, stay away from close combat. Instead, send your pet in ahead and when your enemy is well distracted, starting hitting it with your spells. This can keep you from getting damaged at all.
